Funds Raised for The 100 Club of Comal County

The 100 Club of Comal County is one of the beneficiaries of the annual Garden Ridge Car Show, and is a non-profit organization established to primarily aid the families of fallen members of law enforcement, fire/rescue services, and other first responders within Comal County, Texas. The Club provides immediate financial assistance in the form of a lump sum payment to the family of any police officer (career or reserve), jail officer, firefighter (career or volunteer), or paramedic/EMT first responder (career or volunteer) who is killed in the line of duty.

The proceeds from the 2024 Garden Ridge Car Show allowed the GRCPAAA to donate $1000 to The 100 Club of Comal County! We are honored to be able to support this very worthy organization.

GRCPAAA Awards 2024 Scholarship

The GRCPAAA Scholarship Committee selected Travis Zipp, son of Bracken Fire Department (ESD 6) Chief Donald Zipp, for our 2024 Scholarship Award Winner. Travis is a student at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he is pursuing a degree in Poultry Science. Congratulations, Travis!

Dear GRCPAAA,

I want to thank y’all for the continued support you have shown me in the past years. The money I’ve been awarded has allowed me to continue my college without financial struggle. Many people in my situation cannot say the same and I want to display my gratitude because y’all have truly impacted my life. Not only has the financial support allowed me to be stable in college life, but it has also pushed me to be a more upstanding individual due to the responsibility I feel that comes with being chosen for this award. I hope y’all know of the true impact y’all have made on my life and I hope to see others benefit from this award as well.

GRCPAAA Awards 2023 Scholarship

The GRCPAAA Scholarship Committee selected Travis Zipp, son of Bracken Fire Department (ESD 6) Chief Donald Zipp, for our 2023 Scholarship Award Winner. Travis was presented the $1,000 check by GRCPAAA President Jim Moreland at the Bracken Fire Department Main Station on July 17, 2023. This fall, Travis will attend Texas A&M University for his sophomore year in College Station, Texas, where he is pursuing a degree in Poultry Science. Congratulations, Travis!

Car Show 2022

The 2022 Car Show was held on the Saturday, October 22, 2022.

From the classics to more recent models, you’ll see a wide variety of vehicles from all over the central and south Texas area. But awesome cars and trucks are not all you’ll get to see at this event each year, because we also have a craft show featuring plenty of local artisans selling their hand made goods, various activities for kids of all ages, as well as plenty of food and drinks. And if all of this isn’t enough already, the event is FREE to all the spectators! That’s right, free parking and free admission to all of our guests.

Our next car show is scheduled for October 21, 2023.

The Mayor’s Choice went to Matt K for his 1967 Pontiac GTO. The Police Officer’s Choice was awarded to Marvine Riettele for his 1967 Pontiac GTO.
