2017 Car Show

Our 3rd annual open car show was another great success, with about 130 vehicles on display for all those who came out! This year the show was moved from mid-June to the second Saturday in April, primarily to help escape the brutal summer heat as well as avoiding conflicts with summer vacations.

It turned out to a beautiful spring day here in Garden Ridge, with the mercury rising up to a balmy 84 degrees, after a relatively mild start to the day.

Best of Show Winners

As usual, there were two best of show winners: Brian C for his 1956 Colonial White Ford Thunderbird in the Pre-1990 category, and Michael O for his 2009 Grey Dodge Challenger in the 1991-Current category.

Mayor & Kid’s Choice Winners

The Mayor’s Choice went to Ed P, for his 1964 Red Ford Falcon, and the Kid’s Choice was Michael R’s 1989 Red Chevrolet Corvette.

2016 Car Show

Our 2nd annual open car show turned out almost 120 vehicles for the judges to review! Once again, the show was held on the second Saturday in June, and it turned out to a nice summer day here in Garden Ridge, with the mercury rising up to a warm 92 degrees.

2015 Car Show

Our 1st annual open car show turned out 75 vehicles for the judges to review! The show was held on the fourth Saturday in June, and it turned out to a fairly typical summer day here in Garden Ridge, with the mercury rising up to a warm 90 degrees.

Winners

In this inaugural year of the Garden Ridge Open Car Show, there were two winners. Best in Show went to Lee P and his 1934 Ford Cabriolet, and the Police Chief’s Choice went to Bud L for his 1934 Ford Coupe. Looks like 1934 was the lucky year for our first show! Here’s a couple of photo’s, only one of which is from the show. Can you guess which one it is?
